General Description

The Jet Ranch project consists of three hangar buildings located at the Carson City Airport totaling 78,000 sq ft.  Two of the hangars will provide up-scale space for clientele and their air-worthy toys.  The largest of the buildings consists of 33,300 sq ft. of custom designed museum quality hangar space and 5,800 sq ft. of office and living space.  A cat-walk in the hangar will allow visitors to view the owners’ collection of vintage airplanes and high-tech jets. Also included is a flight simulator for training purposes.  A pre-engineered steel structure with a custom designed curved roof was utilized to achieve the architect’s concept.  Miles Construction worked hand-in-hand with the architects during the design of the building to give the customer a unique building using a cost effective approach.  This hangar will truly be a work of art rendered in steel and glass.
