General Description
Builders Choice Lumber manufacturing facility is one of the tallest structures in its rural community.  Builders Choice will make roof and floor trusses for the residential construction industry under one building.  Trusses made in Silver Springs will be shipped from Utah to Northern California.  The plant will employ 25 workers and should increase that number to 200 in a few years. The project included 700 feet of off site street improvements, a 6,800 square foot office, a 142,000 square foot manufacturing facility, and a 7,000 square foot truck maintenance shop.  The manufacturing facility is a 200 foot clearspan structure with the overall building weighting in at 500 tons.

 Special Challenges
One of the challenges in doing this project was starting excavation of the 29 acre site during one of the wettest winters on record.
