WILLIAM D. MILES
PRESIDENT
Bill Miles has been in the construction industry for more than 30 years
and has been with Miles Construction since its inception in 1986.
As owner of the company, Bill’s project experience is vast and diverse, including construction of custom homes, retail centers, mining facilities, custom metal buildings, office buildings, mini-warehouse structures, prison facilities, manufacturing, warehouses, airplane hangars and various tenant improvement projects.
His community involvement with public organizations includes the Board
of Directors of Northern Nevada Development Authority, Board of Directors
of Carson City Chamber of Commerce, Board of Directors of the Lyon
County Economic Development Authority, the Board of Appeals for the
Carson City Building & Safety Department, and from 1999 to 2002, he was the Chairman of the Central Lyon County Master Review Committee.
Bill’s current community involvement with private organizations includes the Board of Directors of the Builders Association of Western Nevada and the Board of Directors of Northern Nevada Bank.

CARY E. RICHARDSON
VICE PRESIDENT, BUSINESS OPERATIONS
Since graduating college in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil
Engineering, Cary has been involved in multiple facets of construction
including design, estimating and project management for both commercial
and residential projects. In 2002 he joined Miles Construction where
he serves as vice president of business operations.
He has experience with projects ranging in size from relatively
minor remodels to 100,000+ s.f. shopping centers, industrial/manufacturing
facilities and 7,000+ s.f. custom homes. Cary has managed design/build
programs for national retailers and developers, consisting of over
200 projects and $40-$50 million annually, located throughout the
continental United States.
His responsibilities included coordination of all field activities
and personnel, management of a 15-employee architectural division,
supervision of estimating department and all required scheduling.
Nearly all projects/development programs are negotiated with repeat
clients. Anchor tenants/clients include Stage Stores Inc., Old Navy,
Office Depot, Michaels, Office Max, Hallmark, David’s Bridal,
Staples, Realm Realty, Hone Company and SlotWorld

JERRY V. DEINES
VICE PRESIDENT OF FIELD OPERATIONS
Jerry Deines is a construction industry veteran whose career spans
36 years. Upon graduating from high school, Jerry enrolled and completed
a four-year carpentry apprenticeship program. He acquired experience
in all phases of construction from commercial and industrial
to residential.
In 1982, Jerry joined forces with a large general contractor in
San Diego County. He began his career with the company as a
journeyman carpenter and progressed to foreman and on to superintendent. Ultimately,
Jerry was given the responsibility of general superintendent for
the Northern California and the Northern Nevada division of the company. As
general superintendent, he was responsible for over 125 employees
and as many as eight projects at any one time. Duties included the
supervision of the self-performed portions of projects, i.e., concrete,
framing, and grading.
During his 19 years, the projects ranged from a simple mini-storage
complex to headquarters for internationally based companies. Project
types included tilt-up construction, steel structure mid-rise, masonry,
and retail centers. Past clients include Panasonic, Howard
Leight, Casio, Hawthorne Machinery, Bently Nevada Corporation, Wall
Street Property Co and numerous others.

GEORGE MILES
SAFETY MANAGER
George’s construction experience began in 1980. In May of
1986 he joined Miles Construction. As Safety Manager and Chairman
of the General Safety Committee, George performs in-house training
of employees for forklift and fall protection certifications, weekly
tailgate safety meetings and jobsite inspections. He also performs
risk management reviews for the company. As part of his continuing
education, he attends classes in safety practices and risk management
through organizations such as ProGroup Management. George accompanies
OSHA representatives on their Safety & Consultation Training
jobsite inspections to assist us in our overall safety practices. He
also manages all safety-related employee programs, such as CPR/first
aid certifications and equipment operation certifications.

PAM BRUST
CONTROLLER
Pam has more than 28 years of progressive experience in corporate
fiscal management, budget development, analysis and implementation.
Pam brings expertise in developing financial plans and applying effective
analytical skills to insure meeting or exceeding goals.
After graduating from college with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting,
Pam worked for 14 years in the private sector as a Certified Public
Accountant. As the audit manager for the firm she worked for,
Pam was involved in audits of construction companies and other financial
organizations, for profit and nonprofit, including the City of Carson
City. She was also experienced in personal and corporate taxation. She
was then hired by a client to be the controller of a real estate
development and golf course project, helping to bring the project
from inception to a fully operational venture which took 5 years.
After that, Pam was the controller of a manufacturing company for
7 years and then to her present position with Miles Construction
since November, 2004.
At Miles Construction Pam is responsible for managing all phases
of the financial operations, managing banking relationships and insurance
needs. She also has experience in directing human resources
activities and governmental agencies.
